The memes and social media posts that say we don’t live up to our potential and should push ourselves further do more harm than good, in my opinion. I know they are there as motivation, but they can also make us feel bad that we don’t want to run 100 miles a week or tackle 10,000 feet elevation gains. Enjoy the mile you’re in. If you like to do 5Ks only, that’s fantastic and don’t let anyone else tell you otherwise. If you don’t like to race, you do you. And if you’re one of those who loves to tackle hundos, that’s also great.
I also review New Year One Day. Even though it was a bit disappointing, I learned a lot about myself and had a great time.
