Tuesday mornings are my favorites these days. Because of my different work schedule, I don’t work on Mondays and Tuesdays. Since surgery, I have physical therapy every Tuesday morning and I look forward to it!
I go to the same place I went to after my first hip replacement and I have the same physical therapist. She is the best! I am in good hands with her wisdom and guidance and I do everything she says.
This week was a really good one and I feel a huge breakthrough. We worked on a little tightness I had been having in my right hamstring and after leaving, it was gone. She also gave me a few more advanced exercises to do and I know I am well on my way to running once more.
Is it any wonder that I leave the PT office every week with a smile on my face?
My advice to you is if you are having little pains or niggles, as we runners call them, go see a sports orthopedist, get a referral to a good physical therapist and do everything they say! You won’t regret the extra time and effort it takes. The exercises are small and may seem boring, but the PE has studied and worked very hard to help target into the point of your possible injury. You could save yourself a lot of pain and suffering in the future!
